Most Diseases are not due to deficiencies but excesses of fat, calories, cholesterol.
Major diseases that kill you are rare in poor countries. They don’t eat the excess.
You can’t catch cancer, illness etc, your life conditions and habits support the environment for them though.
- In 1977, the US government released a report which showed that 6 out of 10 causes of death in the US are due to dietary causes. That means that not drugs, not surgery but better dietary choices and practices would eliminate all those illnesses.
- Vegetables should be at least 50% of your daily choices. Raw vegetable preferred
- Ideally eliminate meat and dairy (after age 2 we don’t digest dairy). In a healthy body, it takes 4 days to digest meat. All meat has parasites. Grade A/B passes inspection with 1000 parasite larvae per sq inch. Meat that is not digested starts to putrefy and creates excess of parasites and toxins.
- Foods high in Vit D= fish liver oils, eggs (2/week), tuna fish, sunflower seeds.
- Foods high in calcium=almost all fresh foods, whole grains, leafy gr vegetables, sesame seeds, molasses.
- Countries that have the highest dairy consumption have the most osteoporosis. Eating the typical American diet, causes our pH levels to be too acidic. Our bodies pull calcium out of our bones to neutralize this.
- You can get plenty of protein from vegetables. 50 gr/protein is recomm. 200 grams is what most people get. Quinoa and beans are a great source of protein. You can buy organic Quinoa at Whole Foods. It has all essential amino acids in it. ½ C=12 oz. steak.
- Bowel elimination is essential to maintain excellent health. One BM for every large meal. 1 BM/day=constipation
- Limit water at meals to 4 oz. More than that dilutes the hydrochloric acid in the stomach and diminishes proper digestion. HCL acid helps break down protein.
Daily water intake: divide body weight by 2 = number of oz needed daily. More for Athletes.
- Refined sugar is the same atomic weight as cocaine. Listed as a poison at the Center of Poison Control.
Suggestions:
- Raw organic Agave is a plant based sugar.
- Rapadura is natural sugar with natural minerals for whole grain cookies.
- Stevia is a plant based and used as a sweetener.
Read labels carefully:
- If sugar, fat, or salt is one of the first four ingredients listed it is probably not a good choice.
- If the label lists sucrose, glucose, maltose, lactose, fructose, corn syrup, HFCS, white grape juice concentrate, or evaporated cane juice—it means sugar has been added—the lower it is on the list the less the amount.
- Look at percentage of calories from fat as well as the number of grams of fat. For every 5 grams of fat in a serving, you are eating the equivalent of 1 tsp of fat.
- A healthy snack should provide at least 2 grams of fiber.
