Supporting your body at the cellular level, with great nutrition, proper digestion and elimination is the best health enhancing and anti-aging regimen that you can do.
Unfortunately in this day and age, many influences, known and unknown, affect the quality of our food and our capability of absorbing the nutrients from that food. Studies continue to show that our food source is low in vitamins and minerals due to the soil being deficient. Then add to that the premature harvesting, travelling and storage of produce, and the cooking process which further depletes the valuable vitamins, minerals and enzymes. It is therefore of vital importance to eat organic and/or local as much as possible and to supplement our diet to ensure our body functions at an optimum level.

There are countless studies showing that by simply increasing vitamin and mineral intake you can promote mental clarity, weight loss, boost your immunity, reduce stress, prevent cancer and other degenerative diseases, combat depression, lower blood pressure, reduce cravings, increase energy levels, improve your sleep, and regulate digestion. There are many different combinations to promote certain functions of the body however it is important to embark on a base of whole food (not synthetic) supplementation.
Our bodies are attacked by thousands of man-made chemicals, we drink chlorinated and fluoridated water (depleting friendly bacteria and other nutrients), we are assaulted by electromagnetic pollution everywhere and we eat processed, nutrient deficient food (even what appears to be healthy) that is drenched in pesticides and other toxins. Our over burdened immune systems cannot fight it all off and illness and diseases like cancer can take over.
There is much truth in the saying ‘you are what you eat’. It is no surprise then that one of the most common factors linking people with heart disease is poor dietary and lifestyle habits. This typically includes a diet which is high in processed food, bad fats, sugars and ‘fast food’ and which is deficient in whole fresh foods such as vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds and legumes.

Within a 4 hour period, the body digests the necessary nutrition that you need then excretes the rest. So eat and supplement 3 or more times per day to build healthier tissues. You can’t over dose on plant based nutritional supplements-- any excess gets excreted.
Synthetics though, stay in the body and the excess magnified. Fortified vitamins found in cereals and other foods are synthetic. Even natural minerals in cereals etc. come from the ground, which are not utilized by our bodies properly. Our bodies need plant based minerals to effectively use them.

The typical ‘American diet’ is extremely high in fats, sugars, other carbs, preservatives, and additives—often devoid of nutritional content. Refer to the Basic Dietary Rules page if you feel it is time to review and improve your eating habits. Though just adding the supplement suggestions will dramatically improve your body nutritionally, feed the immune system, and will start to eliminate the parasites that overrun the typical “American diet”. Diet is the major factor contributing to your Ph balance.
All food breaks down to either an alkaline (health enhancing) or acidic (health draining) ash. Some foods like citrus fruit are ‘acid’ on the outside but break down to an alkaline ash. A diet high in acid-forming food will cause the body to become too acidic. Sadly, the typical American diet—meats, high sugar, high fat, low complex carbs—is acid forming. Meat, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy, white sugars, flours products, pasta, breads, most cooked grains, most beans, most nuts, candy, soda, coffee, tobacco, alcohol, chemical additives, preservatives, drugs, and synthetic vitamins are all acid forming.
Because sprouting turns acid forming grains and beans to alkaline forming foods add more of them to your diet.

Our diets should be made up of 80 % alkaline foods and 20 % acidic foods. Start eliminating as many ‘unhealthy’ choices as possible, improving over time.

Calcium is pulled out of the bones as the body tries to neutralize the acidic environment contributing to osteoporosis. Many people eat dairy for the calcium, but the sad truth is it takes more calcium out of the bones than you uptake just to neutralize the acidity!

It has gotten way out of hand. The drug regulators are paid for by the pharmaceutical companies as well as the academics researching the drugs. Most medical journals and medical school libraries are financially supported by the drug companies as well.
They do what ever they can to influence the need for their drugs. There is no major profit in health via optimal nutrition.
106,000 people per year die of ‘normal side effects’ from pharmaceutical drugs. These people took the drug as prescribed with no doctor errors. That’s 2,438,000 dead over a 23 year period from drugs! The same time period, has only 10 people dead from unsubstantiated use of vitamins! You have a choice what goes into your mouth. You have a choice to heal from the inside out. Our bodies naturally detoxify everyday as part of a normal body process.
